Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a LinkedIn profile URL?

Getting a LinkedIn profile URL is simple. Here's how:

Step 1: Go to the LinkedIn profile you want to scrape

Step 2: Look at the URL in your browser's address bar

Step 3: Copy the entire URL (it will look like: https://www.linkedin.com/in/username)

Step 4: Paste the URL into the scraper input field above

Note: You can paste the URL with or without the https:// - the scraper will handle both formats.

You can also right-click on someone's name or profile picture and select "Copy link address" to get their profile URL.

How many posts does the scraper get?

The scraper fetches the last 5 posts from the profile. This gives you a good sample of recent content without overwhelming your data export. The posts are returned in reverse chronological order (newest first).

What information is included for each post?

For each post, the scraper extracts:

  • Post URL (direct link to view the post on LinkedIn)
  • Post Text (the actual content of the post)
  • Publication Date (when the post was published)
  • Likes Count (number of likes/reactions)
  • Comments Count (number of comments)
  • Shares Count (number of shares)

All this data is exported to CSV for easy analysis.

Will my LinkedIn account get banned for using this scraper?

The extension works within your browser while you're logged in. It behaves like normal browsing - you're simply extracting information faster than manual copy-paste. We follow LinkedIn's rate limits and best practices.

How does the scraper work?

The extension runs in your browser and uses LinkedIn's API to fetch profile posts. It then organizes this data into a CSV file you can download. Everything happens locally in your browser - no data is sent to external servers.

Does it work with private profiles or restricted content?

The scraper extracts data from profiles you can view in your account. If a profile is restricted or posts are private based on your connection level, you'll get whatever information is visible to you.

How accurate is the scraped data?

The scraper extracts exactly what LinkedIn displays to you. You get real post text, dates, and engagement metrics

  • the same data you'd see manually on LinkedIn.
How long does it take to scrape posts?

It's almost instant. The extension fetches the last 5 posts in a fraction of a second.

Can I scrape posts from company pages?

Currently, the scraper works with personal LinkedIn profiles (linkedin.com/in/username). Company pages use a different URL structure and are not supported yet.

Do I need LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator to use this?

No. The free version of LinkedIn works fine. The scraper extracts post data visible in your account, regardless of subscription type.

How many profiles can I scrape?

You start with free credits included. Each profile scrape uses 1 credit. Rate limits are enforced to protect your LinkedIn account from being flagged (up to 150 actions/day max).

Can I import the data directly into Google Sheets?

Yes! After extracting posts, click the "Copy for Google Sheets" button. The data is automatically copied in a spreadsheet-friendly format.

Then simply:

  1. Open a new or existing Google Sheet
  2. Click on cell A1 (or wherever you want to paste)
  3. Press Cmd+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows/Linux)

Your posts will automatically populate in organized columns with headers: Post URL, Text, Date, Likes, Comments, and Shares. No reformatting needed!

Is BeReach really free?

Yes! You start with free credits included - no credit card required. Each scrape uses 1 credit, and rate limits protect your LinkedIn account (max 150 actions/day). No monthly subscription needed. PhantomBuster charges €69/month for the same data - we give you credits to get started free.

What if a profile has fewer than 5 posts?

The scraper will return all available posts (up to 5). If a profile only has 3 posts, you'll get 3 posts. If they have 10 posts, you'll get the 5 most recent ones.

Does this work for LinkedIn likes or comments too?

We have separate tools for that! Check out our LinkedIn Likes Scraper and LinkedIn Comments Scraper which extract engagement data from individual posts. Use all three tools together for comprehensive LinkedIn data analysis.

Can I use this with LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

Yes! The scraper works with both free LinkedIn and Sales Navigator accounts. If you're logged into Sales Navigator, you'll be able to scrape posts from profiles visible in your Sales Navigator account. The 20 profiles per day limit applies to all account types.
